We invite you to join us for the next TOTS (Tools for Outreach and Teaching Series) session:  Technology Conference Roundup. The session will be held on Thursday December 13, 2012 from 1-2 in the Dodson Room.

Come and hear about the latest in emerging technologies from colleagues who have recently attended technology related conferences: Access Conference, Internet Librarian and Netspeed

For those who are unfamiliar with TOTS, it was created in May 2007 as a fun and informal series on emerging technologies that might be used for teaching, collaboration and other aspects of our work in the library. Sessions include presentations by library staff, librarians, and occasionally other UBC staff and students, on their use of new tools and technologies.

The TOTS series is for all library employees and we encourage anyone with an interest in these tools to attend.

Our speakers for this session are:

  • Allan Cho, Program Services Librarian, Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
  • Paul Joseph,  Systems Librarian (Interfaces)
  • Aleha McCauley, Community Engagement Librarian, Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
  •  Lindsay Ure, Reference Librarian, David Lam Library: Presentation slides
